With jobs so scarce now, having a college degree is more important than ever. Colleges are receiving more admission applications than they ever have before, which means the college admissions boards have to reject more students than before. Having a competitive admission profile will improve a student's chances of getting into the college of his/her choice.
Every student is unique, with different strengths. The way to tap into a student's abilities is to have a personalized approach to the lesson. Each student learns differently, and a teacher in a regular classroom can't possibly be able to reach them all.
Many families do not receive the educational guidance and tutoring they need. Sometimes the reason is cost, but sometimes it is also that the families do not know who can help them or where to find that help.
Congratulations on being an A student! I know it's not always easy to get that A! Even with A grades though, there are still probably things that could be improved. For example, do you often find yourself saying, “there's never enough time to get everything done!” This means we should work on improving time management. Better studying skills will impact you more than you think, especially as classes get harder and you take on more activities each year.
Do you get straight A's? That's amazing and so hard to do! But then, are you afraid to get a B at all? There are various reasons for this and other fears, and figuring out those fears will give you a better transcript/portfolio.
